For more than 20 years, BroadcastMed has been innovating digital strategies for healthcare organizations. The Company was first in the world to broadcast live surgeries on the internet using its ORLive solution which provides an intimate look inside the operating room.
In 1994, BroadcastMed was founded as Storyline Pictures, a traditional broadcast production company founded by Emmy Award-winning producers Ross Joel and Peter Gailey. From the beginning, BroadcastMed produced quality healthcare programming in the clinical setting, introducing to the world the concept of live streaming surgical broadcasts via the internet.
The Company was first in the world to broadcast live surgeries on the internet using its ORLive solution which provides an intimate look inside the operating room. BroadcastMed continues to excel at editorial consultation, planning, production and project management, as well as providing delivery technology and promotional campaigns designed to generate audiences of healthcare providers. Our solutions support product launches, peer-to-peer education, continuing medical education (CME), clinical affairs and patient-focused health information, among other applications.
The BroadcastMed Network was launched in 2013 as a digital video center for education content from the best brands in healthcare. Consisting of curated content from more than 40 affiliated organization channels and 17 specialty syndication channels, the BroadcastMed Network continues to enhance online and mobile experiences for healthcare professionals across multiple specialties.
Affiliates such as UPMC, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic, St. David’s HealthCare, Penn Medicine, Johns Hopkins Medicine, University of Maryland Medical Center, Wake Forest Baptist Health, and the University of Miami Health System, as well as Medtronic, Stryker, Olympus, and many more are included in the BroadcastMed Network. Ross is CEO and Co-founder of BroadcastMed, Inc. Since co-founding the company in 1994, Ross has worked to instill a culture of continuous growth and innovation, and was instrumental in the transformation of a traditional broadcast production company into the medically-focused digital broadcasting company BroadcastMed is today. He helped create and establish ORLive.com as the number one destination for surgical broadcasting on the Internet.
Since co-founding the company in 1994, Peter's focus has been on driving excellence into BroadcastMed's operations, assuring the quality of systems and innovation in products during the Company's evolution into a premier digital destination. Peter played an integral role in the development of ORLive.com, The BroadcastMed Network and the key interactive solutions and platforms, which support BroadcastMed's content offerings.
CFO, Vice President
Rick has played an integral role in the development and execution of the client-centered strategy that is key to BroadcastMed’s growth. He was instrumental in the 2009 launch of BroadcastMed’s Branded Channel Platform in 2009 and has been involved in the Platform’s evolution into responsive design. Rick is also heavily involved in Business Development with a focus on expanding BroadcastMed's geographic reach to an ever increasing affiliate network.

Sanam's dedication to BroadcasMed’s mission of improving the global dialogue on healthcare, and her penchant for going above and beyond to satisfy clients has made her successful in leading the Client Relations department. Sanam has used her leadership and entrepreneurial skills to support the Company’s increased growth since she joined BroadcastMed in January 2013.
Director of Broadcast Operations
With nearly twenty years of television and digital media experience, Allan currently serves as the Director of Broadcast Operations. He oversees a team of dedicated professionals who are charged with creating content and managing client portals and syndication. Allan joined BroadcastMed, Inc. in 2003 as a Video Editor and quickly expanded his role to include website design, digital media management and client services. Allan also spent several years as a Producer working with clients to create live and on-demand surgical and didactic programs.
